The only agency of its kind in Boone County, the Boone County Child Advocacy Center is a center in which a
multidisciplinary team approach is used to interview children of abuse and/or neglect in
a safe, child-friendly environment. The BCCAC reduces the
re-victimization of the child, removes barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhances criminal prosecution with
its distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to child abuse cases. BCCAC works in agreement with public and private agencies including Boone County law enforcement,
Child Protective Services, the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Witham Health Services, Riley
Hospital for Children and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent to improve
cases of child abuse occurring in Boone County and other surrounding communities.
Our Mission
The mission of the Boone County Child Advocacy Center (BCCAC) is to minimize the trauma to any child who is involved in allegations of sexual and/or serious physical abuse or neglect and the subsequent investigation of those allegations.
